Introducing FlowDock: Your Mac. Your Workflow. One Click.
FlowDock groups the apps, websites, and folders you use for each kind of work into a workspace you can launch with one click.
Draft for review. This article is not published and has no publication date.
Most work on a Mac starts the same way. You open the editor, then the browser, then the three tabs you always need, then the folder with the files. It is a small ritual, and it happens every day, for every kind of work you do.
FlowDock turns that ritual into a single click.
What FlowDock does
FlowDock is a macOS app that organizes your digital work into workspaces. A workspace is a saved set of the things you use for one activity. Each one can hold three kinds of resources:
- Applications installed on your Mac
- Websites and other URLs
- Folders on your computer
When you launch a workspace, FlowDock opens its resources together, so you can get straight to the work.
Different work, different spaces
You decide what a workspace is for. A few ideas:
- Development for your editor, terminal, documentation, and project folders
- Design for design tools, inspiration, and asset folders
- Deep Work for the few things you need to focus
- Research, Job Hunting, or Personal for everything else
Because each workspace is separate, you can keep one kind of work from spilling into another.
Switching from the menu bar
FlowDock is available from the macOS menu bar, so moving from one workspace to another does not mean going back to a full window first.
Free to start
FlowDock is free forever for up to three workspaces, with up to five resources in each. FlowDock Pro removes those limits. If you ever move from Pro back to Free, your saved workspaces and resources are kept.
What comes next
We are exploring workspace snapshots, window restoration, and smart automation. None of these are available today, and we will say so clearly when they are.
Built for Mac
FlowDock is built with Tauri 2, React, and TypeScript, with a focus on feeling at home on macOS.
If your workday begins with the same set of apps and tabs, FlowDock is meant to give you those minutes back.
