Save Your Current Setup as a Workspace
Already have the right apps and tabs open? Detect Current Workspace turns them into a workspace in a few clicks.

Sometimes the easiest way to build a workspace is to start from what you already have open. FlowDock can look at your current setup and save it for you.
How it works
- On the dashboard, choose Detect Current Workspace.
- FlowDock lists the apps you have open. Background helpers and FlowDock itself are left out.
- If a supported browser is open, choose Read tabs to see its open tabs.
- Tick the apps and tabs you want to keep.
- Give the workspace a name and choose Save Selected.
Only what you select is saved. Nothing changes if you cancel.
About browser tabs
FlowDock can read tabs from Safari, Google Chrome, Edge, Brave, Chromium, Vivaldi, and Opera. It only contacts the browser you choose, and only when you ask.
The first time, macOS may ask you to allow FlowDock to control that browser. If you said no by mistake, you can turn it back on in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation.
What it does not capture
Detect Current Workspace saves apps and website addresses. It does not save open documents, folders, or where your windows are on screen. You can add folders to the workspace afterwards.
